On School

white-knuckled fists grab the rope
follow the leader with hope
of a reward at line's end;
an elemental godsend

This is in response to Grace's form challenge (the Tanaga) at IGWRT

An Edible Sun

He said we'd have to eat the sun
multi-layered, downhill to the core
yellow bell peppers... or orange?
Sour cream and, and some Cool Whip dyed!
Shredded carrots; no, no...mandarin oranges!
How about some cake frosting, too?
We better buy a lot of food coloring
for this freak of a model
oh, and a sliver of cottage cheese
moon on the side, don't you think?

Prompt inspiration: 3WW (downhill, freak, sliver); aros Day 18

I was right back there in elementary school with your tanaga, Laurie. And your edible sun made me laugh. Two good ones!

The sun sounds yummy! Well... maybe not so much. But it does sound colorful. Nice use of the prompts.
