The Perfect Mold

Granny
spunky and bold
with sapphire eyes
and that special smile
the one bearing a bottom row
of imperfect teeth,
but above, top-notch
feisty and headstrong
dances freely with glass in hand
sometimes a little silly
as stardust sprinkles giddy moods
moonshine surrenders to sleepy dust
and when the next morning
sapphire eyes open wide
that smile beams across tanned cheeks
a willful attitude prevails
outside gardening, playing golf
Daddy

Oh, this is lovely. I wish I had more memories of my granny. I was 9 when she committed suicide. I don't remember too much about her either.
Really lovely capture of the prompt Laurie.

A golfing grandmother! How spectacular! My children had a granny who golfed, too! A lovely piece, Laurie!

These are good memories of blue eyes and a wide and generous smile.

...that special smile... yes, for a grandchild there is always a special smile. I am sad that families today live SO far apart... I truly think we have lost something integral to our formation...

hTis was warm, heartfelt, light and wonderful. I love when peoples memories can create such art. It has been a good day of reading for this challenge....I love that there is so much care and love floating around. Great work.
