Not Alone in Loneliness

Peaceful solitude
or colorless seclusion?
Is happiness on the horizon
or is it an illusion?
My path, narrowed with age,
grows clear-cut and luminous.
For experience has shown me
I'm not alone in loneliness .

  3. Sometimes I welcome the 'alone' time, to just ...be.
Not to be anything to anyone, who has an 'I want' or an 'I need' you to...
I used to feel lonely, not anymore.

This is lovely prose, shows much growth and inner peace, too.
    Thanks for visiting me :)

  4. I love my alone time; maybe because I don't get much of it. I might feel differently if I were alone all the time!

  6. I think it takes us some time to figure out that loneliness is a feeling and that we can move and change our perspective. You say it well,

  13. Beautifully written, Laurie. We all experience loneliness but some can appreciate it while others may be destroyed by it.

  14. I think it is that we find ourselves alone, when in sadness. It just happens. But it is true, loneliness doesn't have to equal sadness. I loved what you wrote.
