Happy New Year

Bridge into the new year
filled with opportunity,
a chance to clean the slate.

Wonderment~ what’s in store
on the other side. Hang tight
to railing during storms.

I, too, like the part about holding on to the railing.

Bridges freeze before road surfaces, even the handrails, though the wonderment is there. But soon spring will remove the need for extra caution, Laurie. Happiest New Year.

Happy New Year Laurie! Even knowing there will be times when a railing might be needed, I like the hope that your poem holds for the opportunity's coming in the new year!
