Like a Day at the Park

Outside my kitchen window red
birds jump and play hopscotch,
cardinals all shades of red;
Mommy, Daddy, babies gather.
Red flits as wings flutter,
sibling rivalry, red hot ire
tempers flare in flights red;
a game of tag, “You’re it!”
Red STOP sign; the enemy nears
Blue Jay chases red away.
