Making Up

Feel the shade
of red flush away
bitter scorn

blushed cheeks
the rose wine
on longing lips-

the tangle
of our limbs

intoxicating.

i love the languid urgency of the poem; it slips down the throat.

The picture of the tangled passionate bodies is so clear and made my head feel quite dizzy. Beautifully written.

"Making Up"? This should be called "Making Out!"

Excellent, economical and erotic - how many things can you say that about?

intoxicating indeed..short, sensual, and ensnaring

An economy of words that evoke so much! I especially like the tangled legs!

GORgeous! We aren't fans of "make up sex," but I just might have to pick a fight with Lex if this is the result, hee hee. Loved the unabashed sensuality of this, Laurie. Amy

wonderful poem Laurie. In fact, all the July poems seem particularly fascinating. Its a pity that you no longer link your poems for Monday Toads or Poetry Pantry as frequently as before. Its great to read again your signature style with its profound depths and powerful passionate expressions. the take on the Devil was quite humorous as well. It indeed is remarkable how so many of you keep responding to prompts with such excellent poems.
