ARCHIVES.....FIRST DRAFTS.....
An ornithological Lorelei; well done.
An excellent siren song offering...
she sounds a bit scary...i like the singing to the birds and talking with them, but the luring men in on the sidewalk is either scary or sad to me....
I buy that she conversed with birds and became one...
I might have replied, had I known.
branches being like a harp- what a lovely idea!
...ah, beware of the whistle! what an enchanting take to the prompt... loved it... smiles...
I want to hear her song. The description makes me believe it will be lovely.
Love your character Lorie :)
Now there is a visual!! Scrambled men on the sidewalk ... we just dig right in. Great poetry, Laurie!!!
Just like my Ada... lol :)
I can hear her now!
Tree Siren, like a Hammadryad from Thomas Bullfinch mythology !
Love that ending!
Oh! Like a harp! I love...
What a charmer..and what a final vision..oh, my!
and the men fell for it (and her), of course.
bringing the branches alive and luring men is a mythical figure to be careful with. cool!
She maybe making music but with your words it has turned into a sweet poetry.
It's fabulous! I love it.
Lovely writing. Enjoyed reading it. Keep it going. :)
Short and sweet, I would say.
Been away for a while - but this is lovely work, Laurie... With Best Wishes Scott www.scotthastie.com
