Dear Santa,
This time of year threads worry so
I cringe upon the season's glow
Fear of presents lost in spacial flow
High expectation's plight
With dreams of pricey "Apple" -oh!
Flying doubt through the night
That money will appear in time
To fill the tree with gifts sublime
And satisfy the kids' dreamtime
Won't you help me, Santa?
Or I might find myself in grime
To fill your shoes, Santa.
With love,
laurie kolp

A delightful piece for the season, and one that must speak to every parent's worried heart. Lovely.
As a mom to a kid who still believes, I totally relate to this. Nice one!
Very clever use of the letter form, making it to Santa. Kids today have so much pressure from the media to want want want things--hard as a parent to cope.
You nailed the form, kiddo.........so well done!
let us know if he answers...
Ain't that the truth!
ha lots of pressure this time of year...we just took christmas to a single mom and her kids...thanks for the thoughts and prayers as well on gramma...she finally went in at 735 pm...
Great job I love it
Santa, tell me what to do
I have no hope of following you
Very difficult situation for parents, this time of year. What to do, what not to do, how much to do.
The time of year when I'm glad I'm not a parent.

Very timely and well-written.
I am sure someone with a beard will offer you some dollars..I am not sure if adults get away without paying interest though.darn it..another funny, clever and warming piece..Jae
It's tough to live up to expectations in this economy. nicely said.
nice holiday cheer and fun
nicely done - I love that you've used the letter form also ... and like others who've commented, reflected the frustration of so much "want" ... without too much bitterness
Love this fun peace..hope Santa comes through for you. :)
Fantastic letter! I wish every child's tree was filled with presents... well maybe not FILLED, but you know what I mean. :)
yes on the money...ain't that the truth
Merry Christmas L.
