Tiptoe around that certain person
who, if you come too close, might
detonate cutting words, evil glares
daring to stretch one's limber attitude
into a back-breaking, tedious attempt
for tolerance. Take cover before
shrapnel penetrates your heart.

Prompt inspiration: 3WW- detonate, limber, tedious

Ha. I heded this advice and can feel the justness in your words. No exaggeration here. But just one in a bunch ain't bad!
Nice poem, true words can do those type of damages and more.
wise words...though in Canada as its boxing day, best to lie low and tiptoe out of the crowd ~
Yes, in this case to tiptoe definitely seems a wise choice!
Or, you could just punch him/her in the face.
Not that I advocate violence . . .
Cheers!

Cleverly true. limber attitude - :)
very true some relatives are like that.
Tip-toeing and easy does it. A relative is a relative. A little irritation sometimes but together again later. Nice observation Laurie!
