Will it take four times
one
two
three
four
stabs in my heart
lies
deceit
evil
pain
hardened with each blow
one
two
three
four
my armored heart
shielding
protecting
hiding
harboring
blind truth, bull’s eye
whips
tussles
nabs
defeats
the last time through the core
you
can
kiss
my ass

Wow! now that's anger.
Nice one.
I didn't see the end coming!
Isn't it fun to see what different takes we all did on the photo? Yours is super original - and the angry rhythm of the words, building into the climax, is so well done.
Thanks!
Emily- Yes... I think it's fascinating how each piece is unique.
Terrific piece!
Great piece, methodic, and then a surprise ending (not expected here)... well done.
Wow! Love it!
we all need armoured hearts sometimes
I got it right away, but the last line was the best.
Wow! This was totally unexpected - but in a good way! Boy did you capture my attention. I loved the cadence and the counting - all leading to that perfect ending!
I liked the repetition of the four, in word and number.
Excuse my typing as I have just picked myself up off the floor. Tremendous change of pace at the end. Unique style...unambiguous statement...great! Vb
Well spoken and brave...reminds me of the saying "fool me once shame on you...fool me twice shame on me"....:-)
Hey! Hey! This is my kind of read! Formatted wonderfully, too!
Butt, butt, butt I never saw this one coming. Raw and funny!
Brave sentiments
