Natural Engagement

We rode our bikes into verdant fields
of tomorrow, our future as bright as
the diamond on my left hand, then

at night we made love under a starry
sky and cuddled in our tent like
bears hibernating in winter's frost.

A really like a three-line stanza and often think they are not utilized enough. This was perfect.

I didn't know bears did that when they are hibernating! Cheeky things, but good luck to them. Fine, fine poem.
