Post-Dental Plea

Mylanta get to work real fast
My stomach pass
Don’t hesitate
This burn won’t wait

No, Tylenol is what I need
For throbbing teeth
A jaw that squawks
At chewing, balks

A dentist trip, swallowed spit
Upset my pit
My jaw, my teeth--
I need relief!

**
I hate going to the dentist, but had to this morning. I still hurt.

There's nothing funny about dental problems. You have all my sympathy, and I hope you feel better soon.

I had to rush my daughter to the dentist at 6.30 on Tuesday morning after a night of excruciating pain, so I know exactly where this comes from: fear of the dentist vs PAIN!!

Don't you just hate it when pain gets in the way of poetry?

Love, lovin' the way you strung your words together......
I sort of want to hear you read it through the numb..... ;)

Holy Cow! Laurie this is so close to my ... my what, not my heart, no. Well, let me just say that your teeth can lead to real medical problems. Since this is true one would think that insurance companies would simply cover the whole body. I had one bad root canal (because it is dead) lead to all of my illness the past 4 years.

Well, it is not fair is it to read a wonderful poem and not really speak of it is it? Then one wants their words to evoke emotion in another. I guess you know that you did so. ;)

Total sympathy here. You've put all the high anxiety and dread in the world in this, and I can definitely relate.

Nobody likes a dentist. An initial impression is that they are more concerned with the extraction. The pain is eventually our problem. Nicely Laurie!
