Day 21

Prompts:
Big Tent Poetry- What you would shout down the street
PA- A ‘second thoughts’ poem
-------------------------------------------------------

On Second Thoughts, I’ll Keep My Mouth Shut

Hey, Mr. Hoarder,
yeah, I’m talkin’ to you
with all that tacky furniture
and stuff stacked high
overflowing
out the garage
onto your driveway.
Man, when you gonna take down
that there blue tarp piece of crap
trashin’ your rooftop and trickin’ the birds
since Hur’cane Ike blew through?

See, that's the difference between us, Laurie. You would keep you mouth shut. Me, I'd be a tetch more gentle but still... I'd put my foot in it! (And I wonder why they rejected my resume at the U.N., LOL)
I felt EVERY moment of this poem, and his name is Legion! Thanks for a sad (him) but funny (you) take. Amy

Ha. I liked that. Just the sort of thing one is tempted to say but is usually smart enough not to. :)

Oh and thanks so much for participating in my latest Limerick-Off!

LOL. Perfect. Blue tarp should be in our state flag. (Wisconsin) Or, it should be our flag. : )

I would have shouted, if I could summon up the nerve. More likely, I would have turned the other way!

One of the things I love about writing. Here we can say all the things we wouldn't otherwise. Thanks for the smile this morning,

Elizabeth

I agree with Elizabeth, that which we cannot not voice, we can write.
Good one, Laurie.

Well done. I'm going to check to make sure you're not talking about me. I've grown a little shiftless. :)

Good idea, one never knows if a hoarder has a cache of guns too. But I know the feeling, there's a house I past on the way to work. I'm like, time to take down Santa Claus

I guess everyone knows neighbors like this. Yes, Christmas lights need to come down.
