A Baglady Finds Herself

An old vintage photograph lies
hidden beneath dusty antiques
today but a mere memory
of yesterdays long forgotten.
She sees herself in that face
those soft, supple features
almond eyes, bushy brows
full lips begging for amour.
How can mere pennies
buy a priceless story
about someone
who once had
everything?

"...mere pennies...priceless story." It's sad, but true.

Priceless are the tales of our days, yet for what price do we endure it all? And to whom do we bequeath the significant moments in time?

... she sees herself ... someone who once had everything...! Wow, leaves so many questions, but the overall message is treasure what you have. Thanks.

A poem as lovely as the photo. I too approached the poem from seeing aspects of myself in her [albeit not physical resemblance;)]
