They met at the bistro for a tête-à-tête
a quiet corner within an alcove.
At first glance, you'd think them lovers
hands knotted, bodies interwove.
Until a fumble occured
wine splashed polka-dots everywhere
wild banter ensued from the couple
who scattered without time to spare.
Prompt inspiration: 3WW (banter, fumble, glance)

Unattached or completely removed from the scene..not telling certainly leaves a bigger story..a bigger question in my head..a shot..maybe..Jae
A good spill will do it every time!
Adorable. I can really imagine
this scene.
makes wonder why they split so quickly
Yeah, surely a little spill wasn't enough to split them up.
I think I was sitting at a table nearby, you did that so well.
I get the feeling there's a bigger story here.
Great use of three words. Please come see my three words
I think that there's more to this story, too!
I really thought the wine spatters were metaphor. Now I want to know more.
I think it was his inappropriate fumble that caused her to spill the wine and end the evening quickly. Great picture you have drawn here.
Wonderful description.
A great description of a minor catastrophe. Did you mean tumble?
If so, where's fumble? Or am I nit-picking?
I agree with oldegg, nice one.
Nice use of the words.
A wonderful description of the scene; I could definitely see it.
Nice little story with a hint of mystery.
