A blue jay bathed in the dogs' water today
as I watched through the kitchen window.

How well I understand your sentiments here, Laurie. Hugs.
Eventually it is the little things in our everyday life that remind us of the ones we miss. I enjoyed your image of the blue bird drinking from the dog's plate and how it led you to sweet memories, Laurie.
nice progression in this laurie...i like the image of the bird sharing the dogs water for a bath...and then the move to much more personal...

We have no idea how some times we are attached to the little things in life. I love this picture! Such a sweet representation of your feelings.

Beautiful blog, beautiful words. I actually posted up the first comment here or so I thought but the Internet ate it up!
Anyway, I just said that beautiful things come in small packages, much like this lovely verse you have here, such love and heartbreak. Enjoyed it immensely.
