Kiss Me Aqua

Picture prompt courtesy of The Mag 179

You parked the antique car
and kissed me, aqua

eyes lifted
one deflated heart
to the heavens
where I danced
on moonbeams.

100 balloons,
a blissful high
long enough to trust again

until you confessed~
I was too far gone.

Lovely read, and I sense if only he offered one more time, to be kissed by aqua .... too far gone, would melt away.

Sweet innocent energy of love and pop! went all the balloons. I loved the style. So easy to follow. And great job with imagery too. Would love to read more from you. :)

There seemed to be a lot going ever that smoothly until the end. It put a gulp in the throat! Nicely Laurie!

Aw, those sweet, passionate highs! Never wanting them to end, never wanting those balloons to pop! Beautiful capture, Laurie!

That was me in the early 1980's. This was great and it broke my heart.

Hi, I enjoyed your poem too. The imagery is so beautiful. I too felt the free fall of a confession too late and what must be a broken heart to follow.
