The King Who Was Bullied

A man who was highly esteemed
hailed by all the almighty king
was knocked down to size
bullied by tough guys
and now he's a small figurine.

Chocolate Comforts Stressed-Out Monkey

I am pleased to announce that my limerick Chocolate Bites is posted on Poetry24, a site run by Martin Hodges and Clare Kirwan where news is the muse.

Included with the poem is a link to the news article that prompted me. I'll give you a hint: wildfires, monkeys, candy bars.

Please check it out and if you have time, a comment would be greatly appreciated.

when the gal refused him a date.

dressed the part for the task;
she stood up and clapped with her mate.

A Relic's Kick

A letter was found in a trunk
All yellowed and sprayed by a skunk
The stench was so bad
Overpowered the sad
Archaic lost lover's debunk

Cloudy with a Chance of Mackenzie

Mackenzie thought she was a cloud
Sometimes fluffy or wispy or loud.
She’d flit through the house,
Roaring words she’d douse--
Like weather uncertain, but proud.
