Watch Your Mouth: A Found Poem
I'm no guru on
but boneless wings
don't fly, so
the fiscal cliff
into your man cave,
job creators like you
Boot that (not) amazing
bucket list up Capitol Hill;
viral infections only
kick cans down the road.
Prompt inspiration: (Lake Superior State) banned word list

Ha, I heard on television these were the most overworked expressions in 2012!!
funny the meaningless phrases that take on meaning in context...(sort of:-)
Happy New Year... may it be filled with blessing!
Found, though never lost! Well played.
Okay, first I went and read the list you kindly linked to. Having done that, I found it hilarious that you immediately and shamelessly used them all. Ha!
ha that is a riot....i need to keep that list handy...smiles...i like as well the kicking the bucket list up captiol hil...viral infection...ha...think we will go over the cliff or....
now that's a much less serious fiscal cliff mention than mine, I love it. happy New year
I really enjoyed this! It's quite the list.
haha I like how you've interacted with the article, and braced all retribution in using the "banned words"! The "boneless wings don't fly" image is particularly good here!
this was fun. loads of wit and lots of spunk.
Oh so clever. Very witty! Loved it.
Like many others, I followed your link. How encouraging to know that such a list exists, even if it seems likely to prove ineffectual at stemming the tide of over-used words.
Reading your poem made me smile and want to give you a high five! What a brilliant piece of satire.
What a list ~ How cleave to string them altogether ~
wishing you Happy New Year ~
"but boneless wings
I love that!
Ha! Excellent wordplay. Happy New Year to you Laurie :)
I just now read that story. What a great send up. Terrific imagination. Happy New Year.

Happy Happy New Year!
Wit and wisdom and weird words: a great combination.
I love the first stanza...boneless wings don't fly ;-)
Ha, great use of the list, Laurie.
i read this post on yahoo and you captured it so well..
Haaaaa....I saw that article. I wonder, there should be a list of words that I use too much in my writing that should be banned....lol. As always, you lend a wonderful perspective...loved it.
great the way you worked those in!
