Some called him wacky, and rightfully so,
a wife he created from his cello
which wasn't that bad, as he played very well
and counted aloud to his dear Annabelle.
At times he displayed this musical twist,
a mannerly man in the gray mist
but still some thought his mind seemed delayed
when off-key he hummed while looking away.

wacky? perhaps but can you blame him? probably less trouble than a real wife ;-)
ha. eccentric...as with many an artist you know...there is def a relationship between man and instrument....smiles.
HaHa! A regular Duchamp of a poem!
Love this whimsical poem! Im thinking I might agree that his cello maybe less trouble than a actual wife. Cute! Blessings
Very entertaining! He might be a bit mad, but all true artists are :-)
Gives good music but never talks back. Most ideal 'couple' certainly. Nicely Laurie!

I love this so much! A cello wife!
I like the whimsical creation.
Very fun and sweet! Cheers!
Beautifully whimsical words.
The slight dissonance you have detected does cast doubt as to who exactly is a projection of who !
Cheers Laurie
Of course. The picture says it all:)
How delightful is this? Quite!
Clever Laurie...thanks for the smile...
The artist loves his art…and the instrument of it! Cute one.
=)
I love this take. :-) It also reminded me of that Piano Guys video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKC-lRhvdNY
ON the other hand, your take also reminds me how art can be a jealous mistress, too.
Nice humorous approach :)
"... some thought his mind seemed delayed

Makes me want to meet him someday. :)
Full of whimsy, lots of fun to read!

This made me smile and think of the love affair b/w Tom Hanks and the soccer ball in that one movie :) so fun
I could have seen this scene through your words alone but the photo made me laugh. The ryhming was such a good choice for this photo. :)
