Wednesday Words

A Circle of Love

A rainbow of hands
multi-sized, clasped
like a jeweled necklace
grasped, together as one
in an impetus circle of love,
a vindication to God's testament
of inner peace and acceptance
utter tolerance and truth;
solace from above.

***
Once Upon a Prayer

a false accusation
of indecent exposure--

(when everyone relieves
themselves on the roadside,
so why should it matter
at the Boy Scout camp out?)

the impetus to prayer
for complete vindication
which after awhile worked,
and as a full moon
on a clear, starry night
spread solace within

(mooned ya!)

It is so sad when allegations are false. It can ruin a life. Well written 3 WW.

I agree about ruining lives if accusations are false and it also takes away from someone who may be telling the truth too.
Powerful write indeed.

Ha! I KNEW Mama Zen would choose to comment on the Circle of Love--grin!

But a word on false accusation. It behooves--esp these days--for every adult to know that some peeps are out to getcha...all it takes is an allegation, which then becomes an accusation. Which by that time, any proof of innocence is ignored

Ruin a life, a career, is often the price of being unaware.

Laurie, your writings are truly worthy of reading again..Thanks!
PEACE!

the first I quite beautiful. it reminded me of an old poem I wrote (called Circle of Hands) with a similar theme of tolorance.

the second was definitely interesting. I was already smiling at the idea of a full moon when I read the last line "(mooned ya!)."

I am not sure if I have ever read two poems in one of your posts before..but there is a strange friction..a slightly charred rainbow that makes them so very powerful..Jae
